Medusa did nothing wrong. Moreover, in some later versions, she is even punished for a crime she didn't commit. Yet she was doomed to a life as a monster, hunted down as a prized victory. And here comes the Hero, in full glorious and shining armor, with gifts and help bestowed by the gods themselves. H
