The vizier Kal’regor was both the religious and political advisor of Zelgrak, and gained a supernatural status (if only in writing) after Zelgrak’s self-proclamation as god-emperor. The king and the vizier concocted a religious tale in which the vizier was the right hand of the god of death, illuminating his path in the dark night beyond life, with the fire of wisdom.
