Rope pole hook

I want to be able to position some ropes lassoed up in trees when there isn't a branch available for making a tarp canopy while camping. This hook should be able to push a lasso up a trunk, and the hook portion should be able to grab the loop end to pull it down.

The hook screws on to a standard broom stick or paint roller thread (I think ACME 3/4-5). I'm using a 5m extendable pole from a Costco snow rake, but it will fit on any pole like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Mr-Long-Arm-3212-E
