A spray nozzle for the Japan Aquaponics Micro System.
The nozzle broadens the grow bed siphon water outflow and directs it to stimulate water movement in the fish tank so that debris are pushed towards the pump. Debris are sucked up by the pump and returned to the grow bed so that the bacteria can break them down into nitrates and nitrites to fertilize the plants.
The design intent was to passively create the desired water flow in the fish tank, reducing the need for maintenance.
