Dog proof door latch

Our inside doors (opens inward to the rooms) have the lever style handles and our two standard poodles like to open the doors while we are gone and get into rooms they should not (like to open the laundry room door and eat the cat food). I wanted a simple way to secure the doors while gone so I made this thingy that slides onto the bottom of the door then after closing the door you slide it over and it latches onto the door jam.
