Back Horn Speaker V4.0 (w/ 85mm Hole Spacing)

This is a remix of guppyk’s excellent V4.0 Back Horn Speakers with an 85mm hole spacing to accommodate for a wide range of 3” Tang Band drivers (pictured above is the W3-1364SA 8ohm). The included speaker rings have also been thickened to clear the frame of the drivers, as well as match the hole spacing of the enclosure.

Optionally, I included files for thicker feet that are intended to use with small 10mm rubber adhesive pads. The feet will need to be hot glued into place during assembly.

I’d highly recommend stuffing the enclosures with polyfil to keep them from resonating, and to clean up the midrange. You will likely want to use 18AWG wire – any thicker and it wont slide through the small opening.

I’m extremely happy with the quality of these enclosures, and how noticeable their effect is on the tonal output. I’d highly recommend using these with a subwoofer, as doing so will give you an incredibly full sounding setup for a compact desktop system. My only gripe is the lack
