I whipped up this case for my 5" touchscreen LCD for my Raspberry Pi I got off Aliexpress
Ideally this is meant for OctoPrint and OctoScreen/ OctoDash but honestly it could work for anything. In my setup I tap off of the 24v PSU on the Ender 3 and use a LM2596 to step it down to 5v.
The photos of the Case and Stand are older versions. The Stand has been extended to help with stability. The Case cut out for USB has been moved to the correct place and a hole has been made to run the power wires into.
Breakdown:
The case is a pretty snug fit for the screen but it is recommended to use the bracket as well to ensure it doesn't pop out. There is a round cut out on the side for power wires to run through. If you plan on powering the Pi with a USB cable it will be very snug unless you use a very small cable or a 90 degree cable. I have soldered (poorly lol) onto the solder points on the back of the display for power.
The bracket has a indent in it to mount a LM2596 bu
