If you are using Non-XYZ filament in your Da Vinci 1.0, you are probably resetting the filament-counter-chip in the XYZ cartridges (as I am doing). So you have to attach three leads to the chip (and attach them to your Arduino). This is a bit of a pain, so I built myself a chip holder.
