Trapped Sphere

A sphere trapped in a twisted cage. This is an interesting idea I wanted to try out. The tricky part is the supports. I provided a .stl with supports already added. The supports were created to be printed with a Makerbot Replicator 5th gen set to .2mm layer height. I also provided the model without supports. The model was created in Blender and then the supports were generated using Mesh Mixer.
