For use with Harbor Freight bench top drill press.

You will need to design a way to capture the clamping block on the bolt. I would epoxy a nut on both sides of the clamping block or mod the clamping block to capture nuts on both sides.
smooth rod is 8mm, although you could use english measurement stainless rod. I would suggest epoxying the guide rods in.
The handle part that holds the bolt end is exact 14mm. you may want to open
