This espresso dosing funnel is designed to be used with a distributer/tamper.
*with the funnel on the portafilter, grind in the correct amount of coffee beans
*use the distributer to smooth out the grounds
*remove the dosing funnel and tamp
My distributer/tamper is adjusted to 14.7mm distributer and 8mm tamper
