Using topology optimization software, this shape was generated based on minimizing weight and maximizing strength. A safety factor of 10 was used to ensure functionality considering various infill densities when 3D printing. I cannot guarantee this brace will support your self with heavy weights, nor for long periods of time. However, the final product turned out very sturdy (printed with PLA) and works to support my shelf with speakers, pictures, etc.
