This baton is approximately 14 inches long and breaks down into three pieces. The sections are held together with 3mm machine screws. The handle has a hole in the base for a 3mm x 25mm screw, the two shaft pieces screw together with a 3mm x 40mm machine screw with the head cut off. I threaded the shaft pieces by slowly running in a 3mm machine screw with my small battery drill.
