Micrometer Stand for Mitutoyo 293 Series, etc.

A bench mounted micrometer stand for the Mitutoyo 293-831 micrometer. You will need a 1/4"-20tpi by 3/4" socket head cap screw (or a hex head screw will work too), and a 1/4"-20 jam nut (a standard nut won't fit). Drop the nut into the slot in the bottom of the stand and thread the screw into it. Mount the stand to a bench using two #4 wood screws through the mounting ears. The 1/4" screw, when tightened, pushes the vertical tab against the frame of the micrometer to hold it in place.
