Weather resistant cases to hold temperature sensors to 3/4" plastic pipes

I need to measure the temperature of some PVC pipes used in my outdoor irrigation system, so that I can turn on a small water flow if temperatures near freezing, to prevent the system from freezing.
These should be mounted with the opening downward. The box is sized to accept and retain gently a temperature sensing tag from the Wireless Sensor Tags family.
