19th Century Bronze Statue of Liberty Model

This is a larger version of the Thiébaut Frères bronze model specially commissioned by Frédéric-Auguste Bartholdi.

Bronze models like this one are eagerly sought by collectors as there were so few made. Bartholdi retained the copyright for casting copies of his working model of the Statue of Liberty in bronze and would only occasionally exercise it.
