Every time I go to a restaurant where I use chopsticks, I have always folded a little origami chopstick holder while I wait for my meal to come to my table. While scrolling through the creality cloud models I happened to stumble upon the contests and saw the most recent contest was to design a chopstick holder. Seeing the different entries for this contest inspired me to join in and create something that has always been a special part of my sushi eating experiences. I modeled this Origami Chopstick Holder to closely resemble the paper origami counterpart that I, and likely many others, are so familiar with. Now I can have somewhere to rest my plastic chopsticks at home when I don't have the chopstick wrapper to fold. This model is fast and easy to print and the hollow version does not require supports or infill and can be printed with LESS THAN 2 GRAMS of filament! I recommend printing the hollow version as it uses the least amount of filament, prints the fastest, and is most similar to the paper origami version. I also recommend printing at .08mm layer height as it will give it the finest amount of detail and a small enough step overlap on the top that it is hardly noticeable. If you have issues with bed adhesion on the hollow version, add a brim with 4 perimeters and the "brim only on outside" feature off. This model was printed in PLA, however PETG is also an excellent choice of material for this print due to its strength and flexibility when printing thin walls like in the hollow version of this model.(I definitely used this contest as an excuse to get sushi for dinner so that I could take pictures of the 3D printed model next to some sushi... it was delicious)
