This is the first model I've ever created in Blender, and while there’s definitely room for improvement, this is the best I could achieve for now.The main reason I designed this is because my K2 produces a strong smell when printing, which became a problem in my apartment. I looked into options with HEPA filters, but most solutions required cutting filters or buying activated carbon in bulk—usually around 20 kilos—which didn’t feel practical, at least for me.That’s when I got the idea to combine a car cabin filter with a 3D-printed housing. I found that the cabin filter from a Golf 7 is square-shaped, widely available, and affordable—I bought mine for around 10 euros.Bonus feature: It turns out this attachment works surprisingly well as a poop chute bucket too (accidentally, but I'll take it).I mounted the housing to the printer using foam double-sided tape, which holds it securely.Design Notes * The model is split into three parts because I couldn’t optimize the design enough to reduce supports. All three pieces are glued together using liquid glue. * The walls are 2mm thick, which uses quite a bit of filament. I’m not sure how to optimize this further without compromising the strength—any suggestions are welcome! * The filter slides in from the right side, but I realize this might not suit everyone. The model could be adapted to allow top or left-side insertion in the future.I hope this helps someone else out there—if it does, that would be a huge achievement for me!
