I recently upgraded my K1 max for use with the CFS multicolour system. I wasn't happy with the purge waste simply dropping into the base of the printer, so I designed and printed a simple hopper and chute to guide the waste out of the rear of the machine, into a tray for easy collection and disposal.There is already a circle recess in the printers rear panel where the rear spool holder attaches. I, like many others, don't use this, so I drilled it out using a 35mm holesaw. This new hole allows the waste tube to pass through the rear panel.I also drilled two small 3.5mm dia. holes and bolted the hopper into position using m3 bolts. You could of course use double sided tape, but I wouldn't risk it personally.It prints in two parts. After drilling the 35mm hole in the rear panel, offer the assembled hopper and chute into position, and mark the two holes for attaching the hopper. Dead easy!
