Chainbound Ascendants

Some survive the First Binding. Those who endure are remade. The Chainbound Ascendants are the result of devotion carried beyond the breaking point. Flesh fractures and reforms. Steel is no longer worn, it is fused. Chains no longer bind, they obey. What once trembled beneath ritual flame now stands hardened, stripped of doubt and emptied of self. They do not remember who they were before the Rite. That weakness was burned away during the Second Binding. What remains is purpose given form, guard
