DIY H-probe for noise measurements on cables. Made for RG58 cable. I propose you use a standard RG58 cable with attached BNC connector.
Fit the BNC connector into the lower recession of the handle, and route the cable up the handle and round the square loop. Cut the cable, such that the end of the loop just touched the cable where it exits the handle (see diagram).
Very important for the sensitivity: Cut the shield of the cable exactly in the center of the probe (I made a small indent in the 3d model to help you finding the right spot). The shield must be completely separated, and try to keep the gap as small as possible.
At the end of the cable, solder the inner conductor to the shield, and remove the isolation of the cable where it exits the handle, and solder the end of the cable onto the shield.
