At first glance they resemble monstrous swine swollen to impossible size, but a closer look reveals bodies in constant collapse. Their hides split beneath the pressure of disease, exposing writhing masses of maggots and nesting flies. Clouds of insects pour from their wounds with every movement, trailing behind them like black smoke.
