Setting the levels on the two extruders is fiddly and in the original design these levels are lost if you loosen the clamp to remove one or both of the extruders. The Height Setting Arm allows you to fix these levels so you can remove and replace the extruders without having to re-level. Additionally it offers a second support for the extruders taking pressure off the existing clamp.
