I have used this model to mount a chip that is not marked as empty.
This is used when I am using non-proprietary bulk spool filament.
When the printer requires the chip to present, I press the chip onto the reader pins. Once the print is underway, I press the 'Stop' button on the touch screen and then remove the chip. The printer will continue to print using the bulk filament.
The photo of the shows that I lay the device face-down near the reader, and then slide it onto the reader pin
