My daughter asked me to print something to protect her iphone 6 plus from the sun and sand when she went on vacation to the beach. (now also known as: iPhone 6 Plus Sun Shade)
These items are designed to keep the iphone off the hot sand and shield it from the sun while still allowing air to pass through and cool it.
Apparently it worked quite well, here is my daughter's report:
