You can box in the smooth Z rods and create any kind of a rigid frame you want. Its a fun and inexpensive way to build a large 3D printer.

I'm sure there are physical limits to the size and shape you can build but this platform gives you a lot of flexibility - its up to you to build, explore, learn, and have fun.
