This is a dust cover for the Nintendo Gameboy (DMG01), Color, and Pocket, (probably Light as well but I don't own one). It will also fit the KongFeng GB Boy Colour (hardware clone of the GBC) It prevents dust and other debris from entering the slot when there is no cartridge.
