Saturn V Rocket

I decided to build a very large rocket... starting with the Microsoft Saturn V as a base, I extended it's size to 7' 6" tall and sliced it up into manageable chunks by the Polar 3D printer. The 1st stage is 8" in diameter, which is the maximum diameter of the printer and each chunk is no more than 6" tall, again, the printers build height.

I printed it entirely in PLA... it took 6 printers about 36 hours to complete. It used about 4kg of PLA for the entire print with a 2% infill and a 320 m
