Modified 5/31/2019: Added rear rail support as I found the original was too narrow of clearance due to the Y endstop. Now fits perfectly. Also added indents so the same 15mm x 5mm bolts / hammer nuts can be used on all four mounting holes.
This is a design I made in Fusion 360 to attach a set of 8mm steel rod linear rails to a 4020 extrusion using 5mm bolts and hammer nuts. I printed this in ABS as I intend to use it underneath my hotbed to take the radial loading off of the Y axis V-Wheels on my Geeetech A10 printer. The design will fit around the bolt heads/nuts on the ends of the original A10 rails, and bolt from the bottom to the slots in the underside of the 4020 extrusion.
These can easily be used to make standalone 8mm rails for a new printer as well. Rails spacing is around 110mm between centers, due to the limitation of the bed levelling wheels. It will still be better than the
