9" Macro Quad

My take on a long range 9" quad. The quad is inspired by the amazing micro long range designs of dave_c. But this one is larger (about 400mm)

I used 3 Thicknesses for the carbon plates:
5mm for the arms
3mm for the base Plate and the upper plate
1.5mm for the top plate

The quad is designed for 30.5mm Flight controllers-.

The GPS can be mounted to one of the arms. I have designed the arms to take 2 sizes of GPS. Either the small one from Team Black sheep of one size larger.

All screws are 3mm aluminium screws


Battery: 3s or 4s 4000mAH Lipo or equivalent


To evenly distribute the forces of the arms I used a crankshaft chainwheel screw. This is inspired by the dave_c designs
