In the UK looked everywhere for imperial sized pipe, ended up with wilkos metal roller painting extension and using masking tape to convert it to imperial diameter. Used chop saw to take the end stop and 10cm off end of metal tube. Lightly sanded the tube to allow spray paint to bond. Had some grey undercoat spray paint from pound shop to paint the tube (staff).
Didn't have a "dolls head" as suggested by original, so created an end
