DISCLAIMERS:
- This is not yet fully tested
- This might affec your system temperatures or even damage your components. Proceed at your own risk.
- Tinkering with your CPU cooler will probably void some of your component's warranties.
- I have nothing to do with Gigabyte and Alpenfoehn and neither one of them endorses using this.
---
This is an adapter for shifting a 92mm CPU fan 7.5mm in one direction.
In my case, the Gigabyte x570 Aorus pro-wifi itx features a structure which prevents the Alpenfoehn Black Ridge CPU cooler from being mounted in it's default configuration.
Shifting the Fan 7.5mm towards the heatpipes fixes the problem, but rubber bands are hardly a secure mounting option.
You will have to provide four flat-head M3-screws (4-5 mm long) and, depending on which file you choose, four M3 square nuts (1.8 mm x 5.5 mm x 5.5 mm) to counter the fan's mounting screws.
Remaining Questions:
- Will the PLA survive the changing temperature environment?
