Iphone/Ipad cable fix

Im not sure if this is a common problem with apple charging cables, but some of mine have the insulation fray closer to the connector. They still work but I worry about using them like this because I worry that the wires inside may become strained and stop working.

This is my version of a fix that has worked for me so far for about a year.
