9Ah Battery Base

This is a battery holder originally designed for a Duracell 9Ah/12VDC AGM battery (DURA 12-9NB). The battery was part of an emergency/portable power supply I built into a Pelican 1300 case. With that battery weighing 5 lbs, 9 oz, the base needed to be sturdy and not get loose when I carried the case. The dimensions of the Duracell are (L) 5.95 in x (W) 2.56 in x (H) 3.9 in.

This battery holder will install in a number of different cases, cars, trucks, boats, RVs, trailers, etc., or on a shelf at home.

Design is for a base and buttressed sidewalls with holes for ten mounting screws on the bottom and two mounting screws on the back (to secure the base to the rear of the Pelican Case. Because sidewalls of the Pelican 1300 slope, I included a file for tapered shims. There are a number of small holes around this piece -- they are for zip ties used to secure your wiring.
