A50D Shure mic drum mount

Here is a copy of an A50D shure microphone mount for drum recording. The original ones are fairly flexible. I printed it in PLA and it is a bit too rigid but does the job. You may get better results with ABS.

Notes on the thumb screw : I live in Europe and it's hard to find 3/8"-16 screws which are standards in the microphone mounting system. Therefore, I made one in PLA as well, but it might snap at some point from the drum vibrations. I would recommand buying a real steel screw for this. You can then cut it to length and file down the start of the thread to get the same captive screw function as the original.
