This 3D model represents Aachen Cathedral, one of Europe’s most significant architectural and cultural landmarks. Located in Aachen, Germany, the cathedral was originally commissioned by Emperor Charlemagne around AD 796 and consecrated in 805. It served as the Palatine Chapel of his imperial palace and later became the coronation church of German kings for nearly six centuries. The design of the cathedral reflects a remarkable fusion of Carolingian, Ottonian, Romanesque, and Gothic architectural styles, each layer added over centuries of expansion and restoration. The central octagonal chapel, inspired by Byzantine architecture and modeled after San Vitale in Ravenna, forms the heart of the structure. Surrounding this core are later additions such as the 14th-century Gothic choir, known as the “Glass House of Aachen” for its towering stained glass windows, and the Baroque dome and towers that crown the complex. Inside, the cathedral holds extraordinary treasures, including Charlemagne
