When opening my ACE Pro, the lid falls back too far and hits the wall. With these brackets, the lid now stops when it is almost vertical. Reels are still easy to remove and add. The design requires no new holes or modifications to the ACE Pro. It uses four existing screw holes. The brackets can be printed with anything, including PLA. This design is for the first-generation ACE Pro (for Kobra S1). One user reports the brackets do not fit the 2nd generation ACE Pro (for Kobra 2 V2) You will need four new screws and washers. I used #4, ½” long, sheet metal screws (roughly 3mm diameter x 12 mm long). Do NOT use anything longer. The screws that were used for shipping are too long and would damage the plastic. Also, don’t overtighten the screws. I recommend avoiding a power screwdriver. ACE Pro Against the Wall Note that you can’t place the ACE pro too close to the wall. When operating the rear bowden tubes, they push out about ¾” as the filament is fed out. I’d avoid placing the back of the ACE Pro any closer than 6” (~16 cm) to the wall. NOTE: Download ACE Pro Lid Brackets V4.3mf - Others have remixed from problematic V3, which is slightly off the bed.
