Want to make 3x3x3, 5x5x5, 8x8x8 or even a 1x1x1 LED cube? With these prints you can make a jig for any size LED cube. Simply print the pieces and snap them together to make a jig to help you solder your LED cube. Using the corner pieces you can easily space the layers.
The pieces are made for 3mm LEDs that are separated by 15mm.
I have included the OpenSCAD files to allow you to tune the pieces to your printer/LEDs if needed.
Instructions:
1. Print one puzzle piece for each LED in a layer. Join the pieces together to form the layer. Add some prestik or putty to help keep the LEDs in place. Use this as your LED jig to solder a layer.
2. Once you have completed the layers print the 4 corner pieces and snap to the 4 corners. Use this to rest one layer on top of another to solder the two layers together. Rinse and repeat.
