I really like registeredthing's BLTouch mount. I made a couple of changes to improve fit.
I didn't care for the way it flexed while everything else on the Ender 3 is solid. The problem is it only mounts solid on the fan mounting tabs. The rest of it is unsupported. My solution was to cut away the back side in Fusion 360 where it meets the fan tabs. I cut it 1.12 mm, the thickness of the tabs. Now it fits flush all around as you can see in the photo: most on the X carriage and the rest on the two fan tabs.
This version requires supports under the cutouts, but they peel off easily and the surfaces are covered when it's mounted.
I also added a fillet to the nut recess to make it a little easier to insert the 4-40 nut. To avoid it altogether torsoreaper has a remix that eliminates the need.

This modification affects only the mount itself. The wing, the part that actually accepts the BLTouch, is unmodified.
