Many people have had the idea to mount hex keys into t-handles, for better ergonomics. On a whim, I set out to see if I could make a single unit which could support the whole range of keys that came with my Prusa mk4. This is what I came up with!
The “locking screw” locks into the “locking sleeve” which has a wide V shape on one end. The locking screw advances the sleeve forward toward a matching but reversed V shape on the “main body”. These two shapes can be adjusted to firmly constrain hex keys on at least 4 sides, holding them firmly in place. The “taper wedge” locks into the “taper adjustment screw” which advances it along a track on the far end of the main body (the screw itself screwing into the locking sleeve). Advance the taper screw until it doesn't want to advance further. The taper wedge has a hex shaped cone in one end, and as it is advanced, will be blocked by the end of the short end of the hex key, which constrains the hex key from rotating/wobbling.
