Adjustable Laser Pointer Rod Holder

I needed a way to mount a laser pointer to a rod and point it to make fine adjustments. I Frankensteined three parts from other makers together and made some modifications. Since I didn't have a nice short rod to hold the end of the springs, I adapted the slot to fit a 1/2" #3 machine screw.
The inserts for the side of the mount that moves are something that I had in the drawer. They are brass eyelets with a 1/4 inch shaft. You might also search for brass grommet. Your local craft store might have them in the jewelry or leather-working section.
Adjustment screws are 1.5" 6-32.
The rod mount screw is 3" 3/8-24.
Other parts were purchased at Menards. Packaging with size specifications shown in photos.
