Update 10 March 2019: Added thumbwheel for M3 x 20 screws
Update 01 September 2018: Customizable 3D printable tubing now included.
For use with cameras, bincoluars, spotting scopes or other hardware with standard 1/4" tripod threads.
Steadies the sight picture. Originally designed as assistive hardware to make birding more accessible to people with a hand steadiness condition, but really improves steadiness of hand-held optics for everyone.
Additional parts needed:
- 1/4" tripod screw
- M6 x 30 screw
- M6 hex nut
- M3 x 20 screw (2 pieces)
- M3 hex nut (2 pieces)
Optionally needed (you can also print the tubes available through the customizer):
- 25 mm outer diamater wooden staff (or plastic tube), cut off to the length required for your application
Typical lengths for the wooden (or plastic tube) staff:
- for use with a Nikon ED50 (both angled or straight) spotting scope: 220 mm
- for use with Nikon 8 x 42 Monarch
