I have a number of large laptops a 17" and an 18". The laptops take up a lot of retail estate on my desk. I want a stand to hold these large laptops vertically so that it reduces the footprint on my desk.
The assembly is adjustable, you can simply amend the base in CAD to either make the assembly for a single laptop, or extend it to fit more laptops.
The side stand is made of two pieces, a base and an upright. This was designed using two parts, firstly so that the strength on the upright is maintained by print orientation, but also that it is reusable component for the centre divide.
I used a simple dovetail joint with moderate tolerance, to strengthen, I superglued the pieces and clamped whilst curing.
