I was too lazy to go to the hardware store and thought I would just modify the original design to use without having to spend the .75 cents. Well I have to tell you I probably used $5 in filament just getting this done lol.
Anyway it was fun printing (in the beginning) and turned out sweet.
*NOTE*
1) When you print the block I would print it upside down so the Base is actually on the top.
2) You will need to chase the threads with a 4mm bolt, The block has threads internally already but due to the material shrinkage it's necessary or you WILL snap the screw off and you don't wan't to have to re-print the block all over again... trust me.
Here's how i ended up printing these parts:
.016 PLA (Hatchbox)
203 deg
10% Support Zig-Zag with .016 top and bottom gap distance
I use my own shapes like Cura's support block but you can use whatever, if you are having issues with Cura's VERY TEMPERAMENTAL support blocks just use whatever support method works on the preview. Cura seri
