Air Bearing

Designed to match the dimensions of a pool ball. In the video I'm supplying air at about 5 psi from an air compressor. The flow is being regulated through a needle valve. The actual pressure at the base of the ball is probably much less.

After building, I sanded down any rough spots and then fire polished the inside of the bowl. While the surface was still hot, I held a pool ball down into the bowl to make sure that the surface was just right. The result is a very nice fit.

Printing the 1/4" NPT threads didn't produce great results. But there is enough space to run a tap into this to create some better threads.
