A buddy of mine came with a problem in that the reels on his AKAI 4000DS four channel reel-to-reel tape recorder fell off during use. The previous owner had not provided the reel locking rings and the model from Thingiverse didn't fit.I designed a locking ring that will hold in place by friction. It fits snugly over the reel cores as shown in the cover photo (multi-coloured figure).I have printed the locking ring at 20% infill, 3d cuboidal for multi-directional strength using PLA.
