Alien Cube Lamp ReRemix

Hi,

After I started to print the Mix-Original I was thinking that the way the cables are running is not ideal so I designed two caps to route the wires.

Once I did this I was not happy with how much the light went through the base. I printed it in PLA Clay White. So I ordered some natural PLA, But since I had to print the base one more time I decided to redo it and to add some cable hole so it will come outside underneath.

So here it is, same size as before, so the side panels and top cover can still be used but with the additional caps and redesigned Base are new.

I used for the wiring 1mm brass rods.

I glued the sides together with CA so I can slide it over the base and not had it permanently fixed.

After I finished everything I was thinking I could have changed the LED strip base also to create a spiral so the caps are not needed. Well, some other time.

Without the base it makes interesting patterns on the wall too (see the video https://youtu.be/o76-s7cdII8).
