Alien Meson Gunship Mk2

The larger Mk2 alien ship, (also known as the eye spear) are less common but more dangerous than the Mk1 ships. They have a strong battery of Meson guns on each flank but at long range the central Meson gun mounts can reach far further. The only problem with the Mk2 seems to be that the top speed is much less than the Mk1, or any comparable Federation ships of a similar size, and this can be used to advantage in combat.
The location of the top gun mount is also a mystery and perhaps used with a long axis pivot to bring more guns to bear.
The ship has no shields, as far as we know, but it does have a self healing living outer shell which can absorb a lot more damage than comparable Federation cruisers.
