There are many different amiibo display stands already available for single figures or arrangements of multiple amiibo. I wanted to display my small collection in groups, and the rigidity of the grid or hexagonal layouts in the modular versions I found didn't quite fit what I was picturing.
The openSCAD file can be provided an array of 3D vectors specifying the position of the centre/bottom of each amiibo base. A support tower is generated in each location, and a small flat base is generated to connect them.
To make the list of positions, I laid out each group on a cutting mat with a marked measurement grid in whatever way I thought looked pleasing. The measurements could then be read off the grid.
