Amish SwiftA tool for turning a hank of yarn, into a ball of yarn. Welcome! This is an exciting project for me because it turned out GREAT! All tests have gone very very well. This might be one of the best Amish swifts around. Prints on 3 plates. Does not require glue or screws or anything that is not on the build plate. The base is securely attached with friction pegs to the center piece. The arms and the tensioners regulate the amount of tension on the yarn by slightly bending up to save the yarn from stretching. When you are done using it, it can easily be taken apart to fit in a bag under a bed or in a closet. There is just the right amount of friction in the spinner. Enough to maintain tension in the yarn, instead of having it spin out of control. But also not enough to make it hard to make spin. Attach 3 of the 4 tension arms leaving 4-5 holes from the center.
